The program's first window after installing quickly gives the user the option to open the program, itself, or view an HTML instruction. The instructions are helpful since there is little to the program's operation. A drop-down menu is the only actual interface for the program, and this acts as a gateway to allow dashboard widgets to be operated from the Istat Pro. Users can open a Finder window to select widgets through this drop-down, or through a number of keyboard Istat Pro, which are basic and intuitive. It may require additional research to locate folders where dashboard widgets are stored, but this does not add much to the time of operation for Istat Pro for Mac. Once selected, dashboard widgets open up directly on the Istat Pro, as advertised. The window size is similar to that in the dashboard, itself, making them easy to Istat Pro and drag around the screen to rearrange as desired.
